The panels are important to a playground for Americans with Disabilites Act (ADA) compliance and provide a cognitive alternative to students not wanting to utilize their physical skills whether on the ground or during elevated play.
The other pieces provide aesthetic stimulation that entice children to want to play in an area. Generally, the more aesthetic works cater to a younger audience.
